1. Annual mammography beginning at age 40
2. Clinical breast exams at least every three years beginning at age 20 and annually at age 40

This update highlights the impact of breast cancer on WNY, and the changes and improvements in the breast cancer education, support, advocacy, and treatment resources in the region. The identified gaps in breast cancer education and screening are elucidated, noting that many of these areas are being addressed by recipients of WNY Komen grants in the last three years.
