"To save lives and end breast cancer forever by empowering people, ensuring quality care for all and energizing science to find the cures." |
Challenge the 2008 Presidential candidates to make breast cancer a priority in their campaigns.
Breast cancer knows no boundary be it age, gender, socio-economic status, or geographical location. One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime. The key to survival is early detection.
Be Aware --- Take Action
Make these changes part of your life. You are the cure.
1. Annual mammography beginning at age 40
2. Clinical breast exams at least every three years beginning at age 20 and annually at age 40
3. Monthly breast self-examinations for all women beginning at age 20
